eBoom Electric Bikes and the Zionsville Parks & Recreation Department are teaming up for the 2024 solar eclipse, path of totality. We will witness 98% of the sun going dark for almost four minutes. The last time we were in the path of totality was 819 years ago. The next one will be in 2153.

Zionsville Parks Event

Zionsville Parks and Recreation presents "Total Eclipse of the Park," featuring a 1980s theme. They will fill Mulberry Fields with fun activities, food trucks, music and more to keep you entertained during the solar event. Bring your chairs and your blankets, and don’t forget your certified solar eclipse eye protection. Can’t watch the eclipse without them. The event is from 1 pm to 5 pm on April 8, 2024.

Eclipse Pre-Ride with eBoom

Before the fun begins, eBoom Electric Bikes will host a fun family bike ride up the Big 4 Trail in Zionsville. The ride will support the 80's theme with a nod to the movie E.T.  You can deck out your bike supporting this theme. "Best Decorated Bike" will receive a free eclipse T-shirt from eBoom.

The approximate 5-mile ride will start at Zionsville Town Hall and go up the Big 4 Trail to Heritage Park where we'll circle  around the park and back down the trail to our starting point. Then riders can either park and lock their bikes at the bike parking lot at Town Hall, Mulberry Fields, or put them back on your car racks. This event starts at noon. You will also be required to sign a liability waiver to ride. Please, no riders under 6 years old.
